Sloan introduced the organization that had no oversight or authority, even trying to recruit Dr. Many are looking forward to exploring the underside of Starfleet, especially those who remember Luther Sloan from Deep Space Nine.
This will come as a relief for fans who were thinking the series had slipped away quietly. That said, Kurtzman added that they’re on a great track with Section 31, saying he was very optimistic about it. So Section 31 wasn’t the only series that got put on a tenuous hold. Alex Kurtzman discussed Section 31 on a recent panelĭuring the panel, Kurtzman said Section 31 was on a “very specific schedule that then got completely thrown out of whack because of covid.” He went on to say that other series had been affected and had to be pushed back, with Discovery starting many months later than what they had on their schedule as well as Star Trek: PIcard.
